Creative Spirit: What to do in Red Hook NYC! Crafty Distilleries, Cocktails, and Artisan Goods
What is there to do in Red Hook New York City? A lot as it turns out. We headed across the river to the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn and found ourselves enjoying craft cocktails, learning the distillery process at two distilleriess, and eating amazing food in this artsy community where artisan goods abound.
1. Fried Pork Chop And Cheddar Waffle
Brunch at Butter Milk Channel = Amazing... technically this is outside of Red Hook, but we took the subway to this point to grab brunch here before walking to Red Hook.
2. Creative Craft Distilleries
Tour Van Brunt Stillhouse to witness the distilling process and try a few rums and whiskeys, then stop in Cacao Prieto to taste a selection of spirits distilled on site using New York grown grain.
Offering a wide variety of chocolate in addition to their spirits Cacao Prieto is a must stop
