+North America +Wine +Biking
A trip that was initially for a daily deal bike tour through the North Fork Wine Country on Long Island, NY turned into a relaxing weekend away.
1. Helmets? Check!
We found a daily deal for a 5 hour bike and wine tasting tour through Vintage Bicycle Tours
2. Try All Of The Wines At Each Stop
@ Laurel Lake Winery
3. Make Sure To Explore The Vines
@ Laurel Lake Winery
4. Relax In The Shade Or In The Sun
5. Find A Cozy Place To Stay, Preferrably Above A Winery
@ Jason's Vineyard; looking for a place to stay in the North Fork can be pricey, but we found this place on Airbnb.com and had a great stay. Nothing like getting back to your place of rest from your wine tour and having access to another tasting room.
6. The Nights Are Dark So A Place With An Area To Sit Outside And Stargaze Is A Plus
@ Jason's Vineyard
7. Look For A Dinner Spot That Features Local Sea Food And Produce
@ Noah's in Greenport; the meal was amazing and they had a good selection of local wines to try. This is how we found our favorite wine of the trip and caused us to search for the tasting room the next day.
8. The Next Day Make Sure To Start Off With Some Stuffed French Toast
@ Love Lane Kitchen in Mattituck
9. Or Some Eggs And Roasted Potatoes
@ Love Lane Kitchen in Mattituck
10. Go Explore The Surrounding Area
Greenport Waterfront
11. And Catch A Show At The Long Island Aquarium On The Way Back
@ Long Island Aquarium in Riverside
